We are so excited for this year’s Room at the Table breakfast! In addition to new stories of how we are making a difference in our community, we have a new venue at the Delaware Museum of Nature and Science.

But before we talk about this year’s event, we wanted to give you an update on some of last year’s speakers and how they have continued to thrive in the year since.

With the end of lockdowns, Kitty’s music students have been able to return to class! With her lessons now back in full swing, Kitty is able to keep up with her rent and utility bills, thanks to our Homelessness Prevention program stepping in when the unexpected set her behind.

Delaware Food Farmacy graduate, Mr Conyers, has continued his education into culinary school! He is hoping to open a food truck, and is even slated to appear in an upcoming Delaware Food Farmacy recipe video!

Our food pantries have continued to help thousands of Delaware families with food insecurity. This includes our monthly deliveries to senior high-rise facilities in Wilmington. Pam, who manages a number of these facilities, has continued to work with our pantry coordinator, Jenn Williams, to provide food and toiletries to seniors.

This year Pam also referred a number of her residents to LCS for emergency financial assistance and arranged for us to promote the services of the Delaware Quitline at a number of her locations.

To find out more about the breakfast, help us spread the word about LCS, or information on how to donate, contact Alex at amazzei@lcsde.org.

Thank you for your support!
