Last year’s Room at the Table event stayed completely virtual. We introduced you to some of the individuals who make our organization what it is.

Kanchalee talked about how volunteers kept the St. Stephen’s pantry running five days a week throughout the pandemic. New volunteers stepped up to fill the need in the midst of pandemic surges. Our three stationary pantries stayed open continuously.

Volunteers Richard, Dianne, and Bob shared their love for (almost) 94 year-old Marge, a client at our Unity pantry. They still treasure and nourish that friendship every week.

When the need expanded, a cadre of volunteers stepped up to help process applications for help with rent and utilities. Emergency financial assistance went through several formats. LCS now focuses on the state’s DEHAP applications and helping clients navigate that process.

Smoking cessation services continued throughout the state. We introduced you to an exciting new collaboration with ChristianaCare - the Delaware Food Farmacy. That program is making a difference at the individual and family level.

This year, we look forward to sharing more stories with you live and face to face!

Over the past 12 months, LCS continued to innovate, procure resources, and expand services. We can’t wait to tell you about it at our Room at the Table event on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 9 a.m.! We will meet in person with open seating. Come enjoy a new location at beautiful Christ Church Christiana Hundred (near Hagley), with catering by Caffé Gelato.

Since we have limited seating, registration to attend in person is required. Reserve your seat now by clicking on the button below. If you are unable to join us in person, we also will livestream it via YouTube. We will post the link on our webpage closer to the event.

Please watch and share the trailer for this year’s Room at the Table event!
