If you’re ready to quit, we have personalized one-on-one coaching and free quit-aid products available to help. Based on 25 years of research that has helped hundreds of thousands of smokers quit and stay quit, our Delaware Quitline and our coaches will help you follow five steps to make your quit easier and more successful:
Step 1: Quit at your own pace
Step 2: Conquer your urges to smoke
Step 3: Use quit medicines (18+ only)
Step 4: Control your environment
Step 5: Get social support
Your coach will periodically check-in as you make your quitting journey. They will be your resource for more information as you quit.
Your coach can recommend free, no-cost quit assistance products, such as Nicotine Patches, Gum, and Lozenges, as well as a variety of prescriptions. Ask your quit assistance coach for more information.
If after 8 weeks you haven't been able to quit, don’t worry! You can renew any number of times until you succeed.
